Inner Child Healing
Inner child healing is a therapeutic approach that focuses on understanding and addressing the unmet needs, emotions, and experiences we carry from our childhood. Our "inner child" represents the parts of ourselves shaped by early experiences—both positive and negative. These experiences often influence how we react to challenges, form relationships, and perceive ourselves as adults.
When we face difficult emotions or patterns, such as self-doubt, anxiety, or struggles with relationships, it can often be traced back to unresolved wounds from our childhood. Inner child healing helps bring these hidden influences on light, allowing us to nurture, reparent, and heal those vulnerable parts of ourselves.
This process is powerful because it gives us the tools to address deep-rooted emotional pain, break free from negative patterns, and cultivate a greater sense of self-compassion and empowerment. By reconnecting with your inner child, you can release past burdens and create a more fulfilling, balanced life.
For me, inner child healing is central to my practice because I’ve seen its transformative effects. It helps us rewrite our internal narratives, replacing self-criticism and fear with understanding and kindness. This form of therapy aligns beautifully with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, as it offers a pathway to change through self-awareness and emotional growth.
